Artekurve
International architects teamed up in the design competition for a major art centre in Arnhem, destined to become the city’s cultural venue at the waterfront of the river Rhine. The invitation was open for residents as well, to participate online by sharing ideas in text and image as a guideline for the finalists. Involved in the public debate, my entry proposed an extension over the river surface, reflecting sky & waterflow by a concave facade of kinetic mirrors. Unfortunately, due to a critical discourse between local politicians, none of the shortlisted projects would ever see the daylight.
